B. Ashworth's

B. Ashworth's, Inc., the most exclusive Intermountain dealer in rare manuscripts, books, art and collectibles, was founded by Brent and Charlene Ashworth, who opened their original store on June 8, 2006, at 127 West Center Street in downtown Provo, Utah. The company grew out of nearly a half century of serious collecting by the Ashworths in Mormon, American and Global Treasures. Among the thousands of items they have handled over the years are significant copies of the First Editions of the Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, Pearl of Great Price and important Bibles and Bible fragments, such as an original leaf of the Gutenberg Bible, First Folio plays of William Shakespeare and such American and World classics as Alice in Wonderland, Little Women, Walden, Moby Dick, Huckleberry Finn, The Wizard of Oz, Gone With The Wind, The Old Man and The Sea, A Christmas Carol and Les Miserables.

We have also handled original documents and handwritten letters from the pens of such luminaries as The Prophet Joseph Smith, Brigham Young, Emma Smith, Eliza R. Snow, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, Theodore Roosevelt, Helen Keller, John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Jr., Louisa May Alcott, Charles Lindburgh, Amelia Earhart, Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle,Ted Williams, Muhamed Ali, George III, Napoleon and Marie Antoinette, among many others.

Among our collected artists of note are works by Mormon greats Hafen, Harwood, Fairbanks and Minerva Teichert. Our Collectibles have included a dress worn by Marilyn Monroe in "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes", Barbara Streisand's hat from "Funny Girl", John Wayne's jacket he wore in "The Quite Man", and a jacket of James Dean from "Rebel Without a Cause". Other collectibles include an 1886 Emerson upright piano, Civil War rifles and artifacts, a British uniform from the War of 1812, the papers of a survivor from Auschwitz and original Torah Scrolls. We even represent owners of original fragments of the Dead Sea Scrolls!
